Company Profile
Engaging in unique corporate activities as a multifaceted specialist trading company
We have surpassed 150 years in business as pioneers in the trade industry.
The history of NOSAWA dates back to 1869, when we first established a wholesale and retail business for imported goods in Nihonbashi, Tokyo.
At that time, all export-import operations were monopolized by foreign trading houses in Yokohama and Kobe.
However, around 1882, NOSAWA achieved the direct import of foreign goods and the direct export of Japanese products.
Today, NOSAWA is a trading company that has been built on a foundation of trust with customers and suppliers both domestically and internationally, over the course of more than 150 years.
Our business is structured into five divisions: Foodstuff Department, Livestock Department, Machinery Department, Textile Department and Business Development Department.
We not only respond to the needs of our customers but also strive to create unique services, leveraging our expertise, which sets us apart from others in the industry.
We are committed to providing added value that only our company can offer and expanding our business accordingly.
The origin of NOSAWA's logo
At the time of the opening of Atsumiya, the predecessor of NOSAWA, the family used the emblem, which was the clan seal of the Mikawa Yoshida Clan, horizontally as their store's emblem. This has become the origin of today's NOSAWA's logo.
